This book was completely different than what I expected. It was interesting to learn about the Yizkor books and gain a great voyage into the Jewish faith. However, I anticipated reading more about the Jewish town in Poland, Lubomi, and the destruction during WWII. This exploration into Jewish culture and traditions was educational. I was not the target audience for this book. Books in the magical realism and fantasy genres are not appealing to me. However, it was interesting to read about Jewish matchmaking. This seemed more like a storyline written for a Hallmark movie. And that is something else I do not enjoy. The story did not pull me into the book and I just did not care about the characters. While I have read many books that are set in Auschwitz, I have not read many that cover the women’s camp at Ravensbrück. But what I have read describes the horrible experiences of the women who suffered in that concentration camp.
