The Enemy Beside Me (by Naomi Ragen)

I enjoy reading historical fiction books, especially those set during WWII. I have to say, that this one was an emotionally challenging read for me. Though I have read many books focused on the Holocaust, the depth into which you are exposed to the persecution of Lithuanian Jews as well as their fellow Gentiles is heart wrenching. It is unbelievable to realize how there are so many individuals who want to deny that the Holocaust existed … that Jews were targeted and tortured or killed. There are some aspects to the book that were unnecessary and took away from the horrors expressed throughout the pages, but it is still one that will stay with you long after you have absorbed the last word and closed the book with a sad sign.

Every Precious and Fragile Thing (by Barbara Davis)

I have enjoyed previous books by the author, Barbara Davis. However, this one just did not do it for me. I did not like the character … at all!! … and the story did not pull me in and have me invested

After Paris (by Mary Ellen Taylor)

This book has a lot of very positive reviews. So let me preface mine by suggesting you read it to see if it appeals to you. This was just a horrible read for me. It was a lot of smut and explicit sexu
