The Curious Kidnapping of Nora W (by Cat Green)

This was an interesting read as you get caught up in Nora W.’s life and how her idea of turning 122 years old is not what her family has in mind. I found the story a little hard to follow at times and would have to go back and read pages again. The relationship that Nora and her caregiver, Rifa, develop is touching and it is meaningful to see what connects them. The story is told through the narrative of three women, Nora, Arifa, and Nora’s granddaughter, Deborah. This is not an exciting edge-of-your-seat read and by the end, I wasn’t sure I was that invested in the characters.
