The Weight of Goodbye (by Eliza Graham)

Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres and especially when they are set during WWII. This book presents a different focus for that period of time. I was not familiar with the English fascism prevalence during WWII. When you open the book, you will be treated to a unique perspective and a rich story of family, bravery, dedication, and heartbreak. Experiencing Lucia’s life as an ambulance driver is interesting and her relationship with a young girl who she rescues following a bombing during the Blitz is heart wrenching. A journey of love, loss, and a myriad of relationships will have you flipping through the pages quickly.
