The Unbreakable Boy (by Scott LaRette)

This is a book that delves into the life of a boy, Austin, with major health issues. So it is not a light read. However, it was encouraging to read how Austin and his parents grow in their spiritual life. I think my biggest issue with the book is that I expected it to be more about Austin. Instead, you have to endure his dad’s whiny, selfish, and immature personality. I appreciated learning about Austin and his many challenges and experiencing the emotional and spiritual journey of the entire family.
