The Last Green Valley (by Mark T. Sullivan)

I love historical fiction books … especially when it has a dual timeline. The focus of doing what a person must do to survive is coupled with the emphasis of doing the right thing. The author has invested a lot of time researching the details. I learned much about the trek from Ukraine and about the Black Sea Germans. An emotional read that carries you through a myriad of emotions … from happiness to abhorrence. Thank you to NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
