Like Dust, I Rise (by Ginny Rorby)

I really enjoyed this book. I love historical fiction books and this one was a different focus than what I typically read. I’ve read one other book that took place during the dust bowl and it is amazing what the people lived through during that time frame. The characters are well developed and the author does a wonderful job of helping you to experience every moment they endure while dealing with the dust that takes over their lives.Winona is an amazing primary character. I fell in love with her and kept cheering her on as she had goals to be more than her family thought she could become. This is a wonderful story of strength and determination, family and survival, of overcoming unbelievable obstacles. This is definitely one to put on your to-be-read list!
