Within These Walls of Sorrow (by Amanda Barratt)

This was a very emotional read and flooded my heart with sorrow. I am a huge fan of historical fiction books that occur during WWII. As the title hints at, this is a book full of heartache. Because the story goes into much detail about the atrocities the Jews experienced at the hands of Hitler’s reign of terror, it was often difficult to continue reading. The fact that as you read the last word and close the book, you are left with a sense of hope. The ability that the characters had to be resilient and survive such a horrendous situation but realized that God was there with them through their struggles.
