Up from Dust (by Heather Kaufman)

This is an opportunity to revisit the story of Martha. The author does a good job of providing historical details. The focus was a little different in that it starts with Martha’s later life and then goes back through time in reverse. While it was interesting to view Martha as a daughter, sister, and friend, the sexual content and romance aspects were a little offputting for me and did not add to the actual plot of the story. However, I encourage you to read this and decide on your own if this is one you enjoy. Thank you to NetGalley and Bethany House Publishers for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
