The Woman Who Went Over Niagara Falls in a Barrel (by Caroline Cauchi)

I was anxious to learn about Annie Edson Taylor and her accomplishments. However, this book did not encourage me to become invested in the story or keep my interest. Having visited Niagara Falls as a teenager, I could not imagine climbing into a barrel and heading down the rapids. The book walks a fine line between recognizing Taylor’s bravery with a recklessness in attempting such a feat. Just a meh read for me.
