The Warsaw Orphan (by Kelly Rimmer)

One of my favorite genres is historical fiction … especially when it is related to WWII. I continue to be amazed at the stories that are shared of the atrocities and horrors of the Holocaust. This particular book focuses on the Warsaw Ghetto and the Polish Uprising. This story is nothing short of heart wrenching … or survival and friendship. The things the Jewish people experience are described in detail and are extreme … starvation and fear. I am in awe of the efforts of so many people who would do anything to help those who are suffering and to stop the evil of Hitler’s regime. You will be emotionally involved in the story and won’t be able to stop reading until the last word is absorbed and the last page turned.
