The Stars Are Our Witness (by Siobhan Curham)

I love reading historical fiction books and especially if they take place during WWII. And because I have read so many over the years, I find that it is harder to find one that covers a new aspect of the horrors of that time period or touches me deeply. So the fact that Siobhan Curham’s latest gift of words earned 5 stars says a lot. Told through the lives of three individuals ... Adela and Azriel and Izabel. Their efforts with the Resistance is courageous. You will experience the actions of many people who fought against Hitler’s reign of terror, putting their own lives at risk. An emotional journey from time in Warsaw before the ghetto, time while living in the ghetto, and finally time during captivity at Auschwitz. This moving story provides proof that there was hope as so many refused to give up with only the stars to witness their “breathtaking resilience of the human spirit.”

As you absorb the last word and close the book, you will be left with a sense of love and devotion. Definitely one to put on your to-be-read list.

Every Precious and Fragile Thing (by Barbara Davis)

I have enjoyed previous books by the author, Barbara Davis. However, this one just did not do it for me. I did not like the character … at all!! … and the story did not pull me in and have me invested

After Paris (by Mary Ellen Taylor)

This book has a lot of very positive reviews. So let me preface mine by suggesting you read it to see if it appeals to you. This was just a horrible read for me. It was a lot of smut and explicit sexu
