The Road Before Us (by Janine Rosche)

I so enjoyed this book and the delightful characters. And who would not want to be part of a road trip on Route 66. A multi-timeline book, you will explore life today with Jade, Benny, and Bridger as well as Benny’s life in the mid-1950s and Jade’s life in 2003. There are a lot of deep topics covered ... from parental kidnapping to dementia to racism to sexual harassment. However, the author treats each situation and condition with respect and grace. As a Contemporary Christian Fiction book, it is not too preachy. You will experience shame, forgiveness, redemption, and cheer on Jade to have the ability to pull up her big girl panties and make positive decisions for the future. While my first time reading a book by the author, Janine Rosche, I have already explored some of her earlier books and will be purchasing them soon. Definitely put this one on your to-be-read list!
