The Girl from Devil's Lake ~ Joanna Brady #21 (by J. A. Jance)

I love several of the J. A. Jance series and Joanna Brady is one of my favorites. Having read all but two of the books in the series (which I am hoping to read soon!), I have loved getting to know Joanna, her family, and her family within the sheriff’s department. Watching her grow and mature as a mother, wife, and sheriff has been interesting. Her willingness to step into the fray with her officers is admirable. When you open up a J. A. Jance book and absorb the first word on the first page, you will be in for a fast-paced roller coaster ride. And this particular book takes you through multiple time periods. But they are done well and the story flows well. One of the aspects I love most about this series is the fact that the victims and their families are treated with the utmost respect. A definite plus for an already amazing series. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next Joanna Brady book.
