The English Bookstore in Bologna (by Boo Walker)
I am not sure what I want to say in this review. I LOVE books by the author, Boo Walker. And there were many positive qualities to the book. Plus, just because I dislike one character … a lot!! … does not mean I do not like the book. But Sandy, the owner of the only English bookstore in Bologna, kept me from enjoying it as much as I had hoped I would. There are several other characters that help balance out Sandy's negative influence in the pages. They all end up, coming together to grow, handle their insecurities, search for love, develop friendships, and heal from their messy lives. A great character-driven story that will have you encouraging them along their journey through the pages. The way the book ended with an epilogue for each character was a wonderful gift wrapped with a bow on top.
