The Christmas Stranger (by Richard Paul Evans)

When I open up a Richard Paul Evans book and get lost in the story, I know I will have an emotional and moving experience. Once again, he did not disappoint. The pages are overflowing with love, loss, despair, new beginnings, encouragement, resilience, loneliness, healing, and grace. What a powerful story of flawed characters who are brought together through their struggles and finding forgiveness and comfort. This is by far one of the best books. I have read this year. The lives of Paul, Collette, and Ronald will come alive and wrap you up in their heartache while providing a message of hope and redemption. A great twist at the end that had me wiping the tears flowing down my face. This one will stay with me for a long time, even after I have absorbed the last word and close the book with a sigh and a smile on my face.
