The Bookseller of Paris ~ The Paris Sisters #2 (by Suzanne Kelman)

I love reading historical fiction books, especially those that are set during WWII. And if the book includes a dual timeline, I am definitely on board with reading the book. This second book in the Paris Sisters series by Suzanne Kelman was a wonderful but heartbreaking read. The characters are richly developed and you will continue to learn about characters from the first book. The setting of Paris, Germany, and Scotland has you drawn into the story as you journey with Madeline (during the WWII time period) as she deals with the Nazi occupation of Paris and Olivia (“Livi” during the present day time) as she discovers family secrets. A tale of family, love, loss, bravery, dedication, fear, and revelations, you will find yourself lost in the pages. Your heart will ache at times and be filled with hope and joy at others. Suzanne Kelman has become one of my favorite WWII historical fiction authors and I look forward to the third book in this amazing series.
