The All-American (by Susie Finkbeiner)

Unfortunately, I did not connect with this book. It was very predictable and did not catch my attention. In fact, it should probably be advertised as a young adult novel as it is more of a coming-of-age story. The characters are well developed and I grew to like them, the actual story itself just did not have enough to keep me invested in it. But I strongly encourage you to give it a try and see if it appeals to you.
