Strike Out 4 Murder ~ Sophie Kimball #11 (by J. C. Eaton)

This is the first book in the Sophie Kimball series I have read. But I loved it so much that I can’t wait to go back and get lost in the first 10 books! Wonderful characters that are well developed. You will be laughing and rolling your eyes at some of the antics that Sophie’s mother and her friends get into as they “discretely” try to help Sophie (Phee) and the gang at Williams Investigations solve a murder. And when you factor in Streetman, a chiweenie who keeps things hopping, and Thor, a great dane, you can’t help but enjoy the book. While not a lot of baseball playing happens, you still enjoy some activity on the ballfield. I am already looking forward to the 12th book in the series and can’t wait to get lost in the pages! This is a fun cozy mystery series.

The Pearl Thief (by Fiona McIntosh)

I love reading historical fiction books, and especially if they take place during WWII. This one is an actual dual timeline book that covers both WII and the 1960s. This book is filled with love, loss

Remain (by Nicholas Sparks and M. Night Shyamalan)

As I opened this book and started reading, I expected some of the M. Night Shyamalan suspense and spine-tingling moments. To say I was disappointed is a gross understatement. I could not get invested
