Shock and Paw ~ Cat Café #8 (by Cate Conte)

I have loved all of the books in the Cat Café series I have read so far. I love the characters and the relationships between them. Though there is the usual angst among some of them, the community feeling and care they have for each other makes Daybreak Island a place I would want to live. Once again, Cate Conte has set up a wonderful murder mystery that has you invested in the story from the very beginning. Though the murder takes place a little further into the book, you are excited to read about the Christmas lights decoration festivities and competition among the residents. I was left guessing who was guilty of committing murder until the very end. There was a great twist at the end as you find out things about some of the characters that will surprise you. Lots of furry friends will keep you entertained as you celebrate the holidays with the delightful residents of Daybreak Island.
