Shades of Mercy ~ Porter Beck #2 (by Bruce Borgos)

I found myself totally immerse in this Porter Beck book. I have the first one in the series, The Bitter Past, and will definitely be going back and reading it as soon as possible. This one had a lot of twists and turns, multiple storylines that keep you invested in the story. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed getting to know Porter and his family … especially his sister, Brinley. I look forward to getting to have more interactions with her in future books. This is a delightful crime thriller and while part of a series, you could read this one as a standalone. It has a lot to offer and you will be flipping through the pages quickly to get to the end and see if you can figure out all the clues.
