Old Girls Go Off the Rails (by Maddie Please)
Once again the author has pulled me into a story of delightful people of “a certain age.” I loved the characters and the relationship between friends Lizzie, Anna, and Harriet. Discovering that life has so much to offer in your 60s was so uplifting. It was entertaining to observe these three friends care for each other but yet there were moments of disagreements. However, it did not affect the depth of their friendship. I enjoyed the various stops along the European train excursion. What an encouraging read as Lizzie discovers that poor decisions in the past does not have to control your future. Moments of laughter, second chances, new relationships formed, adventures experience ... life is full of endless possibilities and an opportunity for new beginnings and self discovery.
