Murder Goes Glamping ~ Piper Haydn Piano #2 (by Malissa Chapin)

As the second book in the Piper Haydn Piano series, I was ready for an adventure. Once again, Rosie and her quirky personality and wacky sense of fashion have you chuckling. And you wonder how such a straightlaced individual as Piper has managed to continue a lifelong friendship with Rosie. But their friendship is delightful and I love their interactions and how much they care for each other. The people of Cranberry Harbor, Wisconsin are warmhearted and caring…with a few quirky individuals thrown in to make it entertaining. There are some twists and turns but the mystery doesn’t really take off until well into the book. But getting there is still an enjoyable journey. There are twists and turns and clues that keep you guessing and seeing how the community of Cranberry Harbor turns up to support Piper and Rosie is touching. Such a wonderful group of people that have you wishing you were a part of their “village.” Such a delightful story of friendship, family, faith, and support. As a church pianist, I love reading about how Piper turns to the piano to be soothed and comforted. And her faith in God and trust in Him is touching. I love the constant lifting up of prayers that Piper says and I can identify with her desire to ask God for guidance or help as well as thank Him when a prayer is answered. This is definitely one to put on your to-be-read list. I hope there is a third story in the series because I’m not finished going on adventures with Piper and Rosie!
