He Should Have Told the Bees (by Amanda Cox)

What a beautiful story of hope, loss, courage, forgiveness, and redemption. The way the lives of Beckett (Beck) and Callie merge will take you on a heartwrenching journey. I loved the way the chapters were told from the two different perspectives. You will be pulled into the pain of their past and how it has affected them even as adults. The thread of learning through the bees is poignant. The characters are so richly developed and your heart will aache as you grow to love them and understand their struggles. The side characters add another layer of emotions to the story. From Aunt Kate to Isaac and his willingness to provide for a precocious young girl to Fern. She will have you chuckling while your heart reaches out to love on her and her crazy mismatched socks. Amanda Cox has become one of my favorite authors. When you open the cover of her books, I know I’ll be touched deeply and will close it after absorbing the last word with a sigh of satisfaction. Thank you to the author and Revell for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
