Forgotten Souls: The Search for the Lost Tuskegee Airmen (by Cheryl W. Thompson)
What a tribute to the many Tuskegee airmen who served our nation in war. As was typical of this time period, they were judged as an inferior race. These amazing and dedicated African American men took to the skies in faulty aircraft and when they literally gave their lives for our freedom, they often did not receive the respect, medals, or the effort made to recover their bodies or planes in the event of a crash. The stories of these men, their families, and the many who served with them demonstrates that they deserve recognition for their service.
