Falling Apart and Other Gifts from the Universe (from Catherine Ryan Hyde)

For me, books by Catherine Ryan Hyde are hit or miss. While I have absolutely loved some of her books, others have not appealed to me. Unfortunately, this is one that I did connect with and was definitely not one of my favorites. There are some trigger aspects in this story ... alcoholism, homelessness, and sexual abuse of young people. While heavy topics, the relationship that developed between Addie and Jonathan was touching. Though I did think it was a little unrealistic. There are plenty of very positive reviews, so I would encourage you to consider reading the book. But I would explore other books by Catherine Ryan Hyde before deciding if you like her as an author.
