Face Her Fear ~ Josie Quinn #19 (by Lisa Regan)

I have loved all of the books in the Josie Quinn series. The author does a wonderful job of character development and I have come to care so much for Josie and her husband, Nathan. The focus of this particular book was a little different than the typical police procedural that you experience with Josie. But you will still discover that she is one tough bird while learning to handle the trauma of her childhood and the horrible things have happened since that time. The individuals who have joined Josie on the retreat to help with her PTSD are each unique and watching Josie discover who they really are and what traumas they have experienced will keep you invested in the story. There are twists and turns and edge-of-your-seat drama until the last page. If you have not had the chance to get sucked into the life of Josie Quinn, I encourage you to go back to the first book in the series and discover what has brought her to this point in life. It is a journey worth taking.

Every Precious and Fragile Thing (by Barbara Davis)

I have enjoyed previous books by the author, Barbara Davis. However, this one just did not do it for me. I did not like the character … at all!! … and the story did not pull me in and have me invested

After Paris (by Mary Ellen Taylor)

This book has a lot of very positive reviews. So let me preface mine by suggesting you read it to see if it appeals to you. This was just a horrible read for me. It was a lot of smut and explicit sexu
