Death on the Argyle ~ Black Sheep & Company #13 (by Anne Canadeo)

This is the first book I have read in the Black Sheep & Company series. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters and while it would probably have been better for me to have read the previous books, it was still enjoyable and worked okay as a stand alone. The characters are richly developed and the storyline grabs your attention and holds onto as you fly through the pages. The relationships among the characters were touching and had you caring what happened in their lives. I am not a knitter, but I appreciated the ability of the people to create with ease ... or with a lot of effort for some of them ... beautiful items. I loved coming into the story with Lucy being eight months pregnant. She doesn’t let that stop her from coming to the aid of one of the Black Sheep Knitters. The research into why Rebecca’s husband, Colin, is killed, was handled well. There were lots of clues sprinkled throughout the pages and there was no over-the-top moments that had me rolling my eyes.

This is a delightful series and I look forward to going back and reading the first 12 books ... and then continuing with the series as the lives of the Black Sheep Knitters continue to develop.

Every Precious and Fragile Thing (by Barbara Davis)

I have enjoyed previous books by the author, Barbara Davis. However, this one just did not do it for me. I did not like the character … at all!! … and the story did not pull me in and have me invested

After Paris (by Mary Ellen Taylor)

This book has a lot of very positive reviews. So let me preface mine by suggesting you read it to see if it appeals to you. This was just a horrible read for me. It was a lot of smut and explicit sexu
