Crime and Poetry ~ Magical Bookshop #1 (by Amanda Flower)

I have loved the books I have read by author, Amanda Flower. I was excited to get lost in the pages of the first book in the Magical Bookshop series. The characters are well developed and the primary character, Violet, is very relatable. The murder happens early n the book so you are pulled into the story quickly and will be observing Violet as she puts her sleuthing skills to the test to figure out who killed Benedict. This was a great introduction to the series and allows you to learn about why Violet left Cascade Springs and has avoided the town for so many years. Grandma Ruth, Emerson, the tuxedo cat, and Faulkner, the talking crow, are bonus characters. And you cannot forget about Chief Rainwater! Between the delightful characters, the magical bookshop, and the murder mystery, this is a great cozy mystery to enjoy reading.
