Bottom of the Breath (by Jayne Mills)

The synopsis of this book grabbed my attention and I was excited at the opportunity to read this debut novel by Jayne Mills. Unfortunately, I was disappointed once I started reading the book. The character development was lacking. And it seemed to take too long to accomplish anything. I do feel like the book had promise and would encourage Jayne Mills to continue her pursuit as an author. There were several very positive reviews, so I would encourage you to give it a try and see if it appeals to you.

Thank you to the author for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
