Beyond Her Reach ~ Bree Taggert #10 (by Melinda Leigh)

I have loved the books in the Bree Taggert series by Melinda Leigh. Once you open the book and read the first word, you will be in for a thriller roller coaster ride of adventure, intrigue, and danger. I love the family dynamics that flow through the story while you work alongside Sheriff Bree Taggert and her significant other, Matt Flynn, as they try to solve the murder mystery and hopefully prevent any future murders in Gray’s Hollow. I also liked getting a peak at Morgan Dané, a lawyer, who has been featured in previous books. Lots of twists and turns with multiple possible suspects that will keep you invested in the story. I had no idea who was guilty of committing such heinous crimes until their identity was revealed at the end. A great heart-stopping, fast-paced, chilling book with a lot of suspense. Whie my opinion differs from most of the reviewers, my one negative comment is that the narrator was boring. The speech patterns of all of the characters were so blasé and did nothing to grab and keep my attention. Their voices were too monotone and did not vary from one character to another. Luckily the story was written so well and had me hooked from the first page to the last.
