Before We Say Goodbye ~ Red Mountain #4 (by Boo Walker)

Boo Walker has become one of my favorite authors. As soon as I find out he has a new book being released, it is at the top of my to-be-read list. While I have all of the books in the Red Mountain series, I have not had the chance to read them yet. However, I do not think that affected my time spent in this story. It is a story of family, love, grief, alcohol and drug abuse, insecurities, growth, and wine making. I understand that the author had to provide a lot of tedious and long-winded details about the wine making process as well as the marketing once the wine is ready to be sold. It took a lot of pages to share this information, but the way the lives of Otis and Rebecca are woven through the story helps you to become invested in their lives. The characters are well fleshed out and you will develop strong feelings about them. There are a few heartbreaking moments when I literally spoke out loud and said, “Oh no!’ with tears streaming down my face. Boo Walker delivers a vivid and an emotional journey through the pages. I will definitely have to take the time to read the other books in this series.

Every Precious and Fragile Thing (by Barbara Davis)

I have enjoyed previous books by the author, Barbara Davis. However, this one just did not do it for me. I did not like the character … at all!! … and the story did not pull me in and have me invested

After Paris (by Mary Ellen Taylor)

This book has a lot of very positive reviews. So let me preface mine by suggesting you read it to see if it appeals to you. This was just a horrible read for me. It was a lot of smut and explicit sexu
