An American Wife in Paris ~ The Diplomat's Wife #2 (by Chrystyna Lucyk-Berger)

I know when I open a book by Chrystyna Lucyk-Berger that I am in for a real treat. It is a roller coaster ride of edge-of-your-seat excitement and drama. I fell in love with the characters … especially Kitty. They were well developed and you became invested in their life and their adventures.

I love reading historical fiction … especially when it is set during WWII. And this book gives you a different focus than the typical books I have read in this genre. After reading the first book in The Diplomat’s Wife series, The American Wife, I was anxiously waiting to see if the author had managed to write a successful sequel. I was pleased to see this story accomplished that well. I continue to be amazed at the lengths individuals were willing to go to help defeat Hitler and his evil empire. Kitty and others who agree to be a part of the French Resistance were willing to make extreme sacrifices. Your heart will be breaking as you experience the difficulty and horrific events they endured. This story of courage, love, support, faith, dedication will grab your attention from the first page and keep you enthralled until the final page. And whew! What an amazing ending to the story. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!
