A Spirited Supper at Dundoon Castle ~ Food & Spirits #2 (by Darci Hannah)
While I did not enjoy reading the first book in the Food & Spirits series by Darci Hannah, I have loved the books in her Beacon Bakeshop series. So I decided to give this second book a chance. And I was pleased to discover I liked it much more! I loved the setting of a Scottish castle and the ghost or two that make an appearance. It is a delight to spend time with the main character, Bunny MacBride and her cohorts. Her grandmother is icing on the cake in this entertaining cozy mystery. The bagpipe focus was a nice bonus and I was so drawn into the story that I could hear them playing in my mind. The narrator is not one of my favorites, but I think she did a better job than with the first book. Still this provided me a fun time in the pages and I look forward to another adventure with food and spirits.
