A Place to Land (by Lauren K. Denton)

A story filled with secrets. This dual timeline book will have you assuming you have it all figured out. The relationships that have survived the years and those that have fallen apart and those that are being developed will have you turning the pages to immerse yourself. This is a tale that encompasses family, acceptance, forgiveness, abuse, trauma, truth, and misunderstandings. I really enjoyed that two of the main characters were older during the present day period ... in their 60s. Maya, a young adult/teenager who suddenly appears in their life is a unique individual and adds to the story. I highly recommend you put this on your to-be-read list if you appreciate Southern mystery and life in a small town. Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Muse for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
