A Matter of Pedigree ~ Carole and Poopsie #1 (by Leslie Meier)

I have enjoyed the books in the Lucy Stone series by Leslie Meier. So I looked forward to reading this book in the new series by the author. Once again, you are treated to a cast of characters that features female amateur sleuth. Carole is thrust into solving a murder mystery and you will find yourself chuckling at the quirky characters. While a much lighter cozy mystery than the Lucy Stone books, I found myself warming up to the story and the individuals you meet as you flip through the pages. I will definitely read future books and look forward to more adventures with Carole and Poopsie.

Every Precious and Fragile Thing (by Barbara Davis)

I have enjoyed previous books by the author, Barbara Davis. However, this one just did not do it for me. I did not like the character … at all!! … and the story did not pull me in and have me invested

After Paris (by Mary Ellen Taylor)

This book has a lot of very positive reviews. So let me preface mine by suggesting you read it to see if it appeals to you. This was just a horrible read for me. It was a lot of smut and explicit sexu
