I enjoy reading historical fiction books. However, WWI is one of my least favorite time periods. However, the focus on service dogs, something of which I was unaware, made up for this. The author did a tremendous amount of research that will grab your attention and keep you invested in the story. The characters are well developed. You will experience a tale of love, loss, commitment, bravery, and dedication. Thank you to NetGalley and John Scognamiglio Book for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
